Service Description
Workplace Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training helps mobilise and empower adults by equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to another adult experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. You will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan. This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals. The course is 100% online in a blended format: Course Component 1 - A self-paced eLearning component (takes 5-7 hours to complete) Course Component 2 - A live Instructor-led component using Zoom (2 sessions of 2.5 hours each). At the end of the course you will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to assist your loved ones, colleagues or people in the community experiencing mental health challenges. About your instructor Penny Dillon is a fun and engaging facilitator who is exceptional at connecting course participants with the Mental Health First Aid content.
