There are plenty of wellness professionals out there—but not many who’ve worked in the corporate world for 25+ years, are raising three boys (one now officially an adult!), and understand firsthand what it’s like to juggle career, family and your own wellbeing.

Hi, I’m Penny —mental health speaker, educator, counsellor, nutritionist, and yes, mum to three sons (one now technically an adult, but still eating like a teenager so please send snacks!).

I get how overwhelming life can feel sometimes. Before I started supporting others, I worked in high-pressure environments, delivered countless presentations, and experienced my own share of stress, grief, job losses and parenting curveballs. That lived experience - combined with professional training - is what shapes how I work today.

Through Mind | Mood | Food I deliver keynotes and workshops that are honest, practical and just the right amount of funny. I also teach Mental Health First Aid, run mental health training for teams, and support individuals through counselling and nutrition sessions that meet people where they’re at.

My approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and focused on real-world strategies to help people feel calmer, clearer, and more in control. Whether I’m speaking on stage, working with a team, or meeting one-on-one, I’m here to support emotional wellbeing in a way that’s relatable and real.

A few facts about me:

  • I'm a dog lover (nothing beats tail wags and unconditional love)

  • I'm new to gardening and kind of digging it (yes, I went there)

  • I’m a nutritionist who also loves chocolate

  • I’m definitely an imperfect parent—but doing my best

  • My pronouns are she/her

Penny was able to identify and comprehensively explain my health needs. She provided me with the skillset to manage my health independently and thanks to Penny I now have a positive relationship with food, more energy, feel overall happier and have minimised or eradicated the health concerns and issues I was having before. - Sarah
