There may be many wellness practitioners stepping into the space of health, food and mood, but not many who come from a busy corporate background, have three teenagers, and who really can understand today's pressures of trying to balance career, home and family as well along with achieving a good mood and eating good food.

Hi, I'm Penny, and I wear many different hats: corporate wellbeing speaker, mental health first aid trainer, counsellor, clinical nutritionist. Plus, I'm a mum of three teenage boys – need I say more?

Juggling those roles means I get how tough it can be to navigate life's twists and turns. Feeling overwhelmed? Been there! Struggling to stay calm? Totally relatable, especially living with teenagers!

Before I started helping and educating others, I spent over 25 years in the corporate world (including loads of public speaking), so I understand the pressure of balancing a demanding career with family life. Life can also hit you hard sometimes – I've dealt with grief, work stress, job loss, parenting challenges  and trauma, and know how all-consuming it can be.

That's why I love talked to people about all things to do with your Mind, your Mood, and Food. Whether it's teaching teams how to be more resilient and look after their wellbeing, educating groups wellbeing, teaching Mental Health First Aid (did I mention I'm an accredited trainer), or supporting individuals with their emotional or nutrition needs.

When it comes to nutrition and counselling, I've created a safe space, free of judgment, for you to talk about everything – what's going on in your head, and how it's affecting your body. Together, we'll find practical ways to manage stress, stay calm, and feel less overwhelmed. As a bonus, I can also use my knowledge of nutritional psychiatry to suggest dietary and lifestyle changes that can help boost your mood, energy levels, and sleep. Think of it as a double-whammy approach to feeling your best!

Fun facts about me:

  • I'm a dog lover(hello unconditional love)

  • I'm new to gardening and kind of digging it (terrible pun!)

  • Despite being a qualified nutritionist, I also love chocolate

  • I'm definitely an imperfect parent to my three teenage boys

My pronouns are she/her.

Penny was able to identify and comprehensively explain my health needs. She provided me with the skillset to manage my health independently and thanks to Penny I now have a positive relationship with food, more energy, feel overall happier and have minimised or eradicated the health concerns and issues I was having before. - Sarah
